Sep. 8, 2016: Birthday of our heavenly mother brings with it the triple celebration - other two are namely, the feast of new corn and the day of the girl child. As in the past, due importance was given to all these three celebration at our church. Especially highlighting the role of Mary in the salvation of mankind.

The faithful, specially the children gathered near the grotto for the blessing of the new corn. After offering flowers in front of grotto, all walked to the church in procession, as all sang the hymns of praise to Mother Mary. Rev. Fr  Ajith B. Menezes,  assistant administrator, Father Muller Medical College and Hospital Mangalore, being the main celebrant gave apt homily giving equal importance to all the three aspects of the day.

On this occasion prizes distributed to the winners of games conducted by ICYM on 5th September.

Rev. Fr. Jesudas D’costa, Parish Priest thanked all the donors, Murdoms of the feast and all those who were instrumental to make arrangements for the feast. Sugarcane to all children and families was given which was sponsored by parishioners. Parish Pastoral Council members and donors were honoured by vicar by giving them the new corn. The gifts offered during mass were auctioned.
