The nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated meaningfully as well as in grandeur. Beautifully put up crib, well decorated Church and twinkling and shining stars all around a prayerful atmosphere to be receptive to the birth of our Lord Jesus in every Christian faithful. The celebrations began with the commencement of traditional Christmas carols at 7.00 pm sung melodiously by the angelic chaos by our choir group which changed the entire scene into festal mood and evoked prayerful atmosphere in the minds of the faithful to receive the King of Kings, Our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
At 7.30 pm we had the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr Alwyn Rodrigues S.J., and con-celebrated by Fr Anthony S.J. and our parish priest Fr Jesudas D'Costa. Fr Anthony gave a beautiful homily with the message to reserve place for the Jesus in our hearts. The entire liturgy was well organized and our parishioners in large number attended devoutly in the Eucharistic celebrations. We had very good choir for the mass, thanks to the efforts of our choir group.
After the mass we had a short Christmas program organized by ICYM. Catholic Sabha unit of our parish distributed the prizes to the winners of 'Elocution Competition' organized earlier. After which some entertainment by our youth with skits and dances and some fund raising activities through auction of cake, cock and sheep towards our youth fund. Everyone was given a cake and badam milk. It was a good platform for our parishioners to wish everyone and to express the festal greetings with one another.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
