It was a matter of saddening  to the faithful of our parish as they had to bid farewell to both the priests together who were loved by one and all.

The Parochial Administrator  Fr. Vernon Vas is shifted to Vianny Home, Kankanady as he is given sick leave, on account of his ill health.

Fr. Edwin F. Pinto who served as Head master at Alangar for 3 years and as associated priest at our parish for 2 years, is now he transferred as Parish Priest of Kadaba Parish and Principal of P. U. College at Kadaba.

A heart-touching sentimental wishing -well programme  was arranged on 1-6-2014 after the first mass. Mr. Vincent Menezes, read out the "scroll of the honour", praised the works of Fr. Vernon and honoured with fruits- shawl by the parish council. Secretary Mr Rexon Mirnada spoke about Fr Edwin Pinto and was honoured traditionally. Almost all who attended thanked both the priests by presenting flowers and garlands. The vice president and secratory presented the 'token of love' to both the priests, which was generously contributed by the parishioners.

Both the priests in their response-speech expressed their happiness and joy they experienced during their stay at gantalkatte. They were profuse in their thanks giving speech, as they enjoyed 100% cooperation and support from the parishioners. Fr. Vernon is already reached to Vianny Home on 1-6-2014 and Fr Edwin will be reached to Kadaba 0n 7-6-2014. We wish both the priests grand success in their new assignment.
